Welcome New Deans I.G.M. Dilshan and Michael Carson

ÀNI Art Academies is pleased to announce the appointment of new deans at both our Sri Lanka and Anguilla academies, marking an exciting new chapter for each campus.

In Sri Lanka, I.G.M. Dilshan steps into the role of Dean, bringing with him a deep connection to the academy’s mission and training. Beginning as an apprentice under co-founder and former dean Timothy W. Jahn, Dilshan has since developed a distinctive body of work that merges rigorous realism with evocative dark fantasy elements. His work has been featured in respected galleries and publications, including Beautiful Bizarre Magazine, and has earned numerous awards and recognitions.

In Anguilla, Michael Carson joins as Dean, offering a unique and multifaceted background. After an early career in electrical engineering, Carson transitioned into the arts as a life drawing instructor and art director before continuing his formal training at the flagship ÀNI Art Academies Waichulis under co-founder and curriculum designer Anthony Waichulis. His work often incorporates surrealist elements, exploring complex relationships between humanity, belief systems, and technology.

Each of these artists brings a distinct perspective and sensibility to their role. We look forward to the impact of their leadership, the work that will emerge under their guidance, and the continued growth of the ÀNI Art Academies community through their teaching.
