Maxwell Miller Work in The Butler Institute of American Art

Former Dean of ÀNI Art Academies Dominicana, Maxwell Miller, recently had his painting Dawn on the Shores of Creation featured in the 86th Area Artist Annual Exhibition at the Butler Institute of American Art.

The long-running Area Artist Annual Exhibition highlights the strength and diversity of regional talent while providing artists with meaningful institutional exposure. This exhibit was on view from January 4th through February 15th, 2026.

Founded in 1919 and located in Youngstown, Ohio, the Butler Institute of American Art holds the distinction of being the first museum dedicated exclusively to American art. Its collection spans historic masterworks to contemporary pieces.

Miller’s painting stood out among a competitive field of entries and was awarded an Honorable Mention, recognizing both its technical excellence and conceptual depth.
