The ÀNI Art Academies is proud to announce the appointment of Jeremy Sinsimer as its new President, effective July 29, 2025. This leadership transition marks an exciting new chapter in the organization’s ongoing mission to provide world-class art education grounded in discipline, logic, and creative freedom.
Jeremy brings over 15 years of experience in education, with the last decade dedicated to leadership roles in international schools. Throughout his career, he has worked closely with diverse communities and educators from around the world, fostering inclusive and creative learning environments. Jeremy holds a Bachelor’s degree in Visual Arts with a concentration in darkroom photography from Fordham University.
A lifelong advocate for the transformative power of the arts, he believes deeply in art’s ability to uplift individuals, create life-changing opportunities, and bring more beauty into the world. As President, Jeremy is committed to building on the excellence of the ÀNI Art Academies and continuing to inspire the next generation of artists through passion, purpose, and global collaboration.
The ÀNI Art Academies extends its most sincere gratitude to Jonathan Reutenauer, whose tenure as President has been marked by steadfast dedication to the vision and values that define ÀNI’s educational model. With a deep appreciation for the role of deliberate practice and perceptual fluency in the development of artistic ability, he played a critical role in stewarding the Waichulis Curriculum across diverse cultural contexts.
Under his leadership, the Academies experienced significant growth, both in geographic reach and institutional depth, thereby reinforcing ÀNI’s mission to make elite-level art education accessible to aspiring artists worldwide.
Jonathan also championed numerous community engagement initiatives, helping to bridge local culture and global representation through collaborative exhibitions, student showcases, and strategic partnerships. These efforts elevated ÀNI’s profile while empowering students to take ownership of their artistic voice within an increasingly interconnected creative landscape.
Most importantly, he ensured that the core of the Waichulis method, emphasizing precision, perceptual development, and intellectual autonomy, remained central to every decision, from instructional oversight to program design.
Below you can read Jonathan’s parting message:
Dear friends, colleagues, and partners,
I am filled with a deep sense of gratitude, and it is with very mixed emotions that I am writing this message today. It has been an extraordinary journey serving as the President of ÀNI Art Academies for the past two years. Working alongside such an incredible team of dedicated individuals has truly been a great privilege. Every single person, from cooks and cleaners to gardeners, landscapers, drivers, housekeepers, maintenance officers, operations managers, administrative assistants, translators, instructors, deans, and marketing and management teams, has played an important role in creating the nurturing environment that fuels our mission. Your daily commitment, passion, and support for the organization and its apprentices have inspired me every day.
At the heart of everything we do are the apprentices: bright, passionate, with touching personal stories and extraordinary dreams. They are the reason we wake up every morning and pour our hearts into this organization. Honestly, it has been a true honor to be part of a community that genuinely cares about education, human development, and empowering individuals through art. Witnessing the growth and resilience of the apprentices has touched me deeply, and I am proud to have contributed, in some small way, to their journeys.
Over the past two years, I have learned so much, from the power of art as a tool for transformation to the importance of compassion and dedication in education. I will forever cherish the relationships I have built here and the lessons I have learned from each of you. I now see art through a different lens, appreciating its ability to inspire, heal, and even sometimes, bring hope.
I would like to extend special thanks to Anthony Waichulis for creating such an exceptional curriculum, and to Tim Reynolds for his vision and generosity in establishing and funding the six ÀNI Art Academies. Your leadership has laid a strong foundation for the future. Additionally, I want to acknowledge the staff of ÀNI Private Resorts, whose support across our four international schools in Anguilla, Dominican Republic, Thailand, and Sri Lanka has been invaluable. Their collaboration and dedication have significantly contributed to the success of our ongoing projects and the well-being of the apprentices.
As I step down for personal reasons, I want to say that I will deeply miss each apprentice and colleague. However, this is just a goodbye, not an end. I will continue to follow the growth of the organization with pride and hope to see many more apprentices flourish and new academies open around the world.
I am very happy that Jeremy has been appointed as the new President of the organization. I know him personally and I am convinced that he will be able to continue the work started with all our team members, and will make ÀNI Art Academies grow for the good of all the apprentices!
Thank you all for being part of this remarkable journey, please always keep in mind that “We are ÀNI!“. I look forward to witnessing the continued growth and success of ÀNI Art Academies under Jeremy’s leadership.
With heartfelt gratitude,
Jonathan Reutenauer
