Chelsea Herron Participates in Rain Barrels Project

Chelsea Herron, an alumni of the Waichulis Academy, recently participated in the Wayne County Arts Alliance Summer Art 2026 Rain Barrels Project, a community-wide public art initiative featuring thirty-one artist-painted barrels displayed throughout the region. The works will remain on view through Labor Day weekend (September 7) before being auctioned later this year.

Herron’s barrel features a vibrant fish painting paired with the text “Lake Wallenpaupack” on the reverse side, celebrating one of the Pocono Mountains’ most beloved destinations for fishing, camping, swimming, and lakeside recreation. Visitors can explore all of the painted barrels throughout the area using the interactive map created by the WCAA, turning the exhibition into a community scavenger hunt.

The Wayne County Arts Alliance is a volunteer-run organization dedicated to enriching the community through the arts while providing local artists with opportunities to share their work with the public.
