ÀNI Art Academy Artists Featured in the 17th & 18th International Book of Realism

We are delighted to celebrate the many ÀNI Art Academy artists whose work appears in the 17th & 18th International Book of Realism, featuring works recognized through the Art Renewal Center’s 17th and 18th International Salons.

The publication brings together an extraordinary collection of contemporary representational artwork, and we are incredibly proud to see so many artists connected with ÀNI Art Academies represented within its pages.

Across Still Life, Imaginative Realism, Drawing, and Portraiture, ÀNI artists earned finalist placements, honorable mentions, purchase and publishing awards, and other distinctions.

In Still Life, Maxwell Miller was recognized for Tale of the Curious Oysters, receiving both the FWSD Award and an Honorable Mention, while Timothy W. Jahn was named a finalist for Luxury and Literature.

ÀNI artists also made a strong showing in Imaginative Realism. Maxwell Miller’s The Kiss of Consecration, Garret McCall’s Hands of the Potter, and Dan Christian’s Queen Corona were named finalists. Michael Carson received a Special Award Runner-Up distinction for Veroandi, while his Disjecta Membra was also selected as a finalist.

The Drawing category includes an especially extensive group of ÀNI artists and works. H. K. Praneeth Maleesha received Second Place for Little Embroiders and an Honorable Mention for Little Margaret. Mitchell Bagnas received an Honorable Mention for Mourning Swan, while Michael Carson’s Chthonic Adumbration, Nimeshika Wilegodage’s Voiceless, Dismal Vidhana Pathiranage’s Water’s Embrace, and Kanishka Sadaruwan’s Angam Fighter were selected as finalists.

Bethmini N. Dissanayake was represented by Illustrations of Deep Mind, selected as a finalist, and The Enchanted Reader, which received the MacAvoy Purchase Award. Methsara D. Arachchige’s The Outcast received the 33PA Publishing Prize.

In the Portrait category, S. M. Hewa Gamage’s The Light of Smile was selected as a finalist.

We are tremendously proud to see the efforts of ÀNI artists represented on an international stage, and we look forward to seeing where their continued work takes them next. Congratulations to all of the artists represented in the 17th & 18th International Book of Realism!
