Out of over 1200 submissions for the juried 2026 International FiKVA Award for Painters only eighteen were selected as winners. We are proud to congratulate alumni and former dean of our Dominicana Academy, Maxwell Miller for being one of them! His painting Dawn on the Shores of Creation won an honorable mention in this prestigious competition.
The FiKVA Foundation (Figuratieve Kunst Vandaag), based in Antwerp, Belgium is a non-profit organization that wants to amplify artists who work in contemporary realism and figurative art throughout the world. As part of their mission, they want to get the public excited again about realism as well as exhibit individuals who showcase their mastery of the craft through their own unique perspectives.
