Jonathan Reutenauer

(b. 1993) Jonathan Reutenauer is the President of the ÀNI Art Academies. He was born and raised in Alsace, the easternmost province of France, on the border with Germany and Switzerland. Education has always played a significant role in his life, and he strongly believes in its power to transform individuals and societies. He is fascinated by the learning process and the opportunities it provides for growth. During the last few years, he has been actively involved in the field of education.

In 2010, he founded a humanitarian and environmental association with a group of friends, which enabled the deployment of photovoltaic panels in a small village that did not have access to electricity in Casamance, which is in the southern region of Senegal. In addition, Jonathan also volunteered to teach French in Mongolian orphanages as well as at a primary school in Nakhon Phanom, Thailand. He is currently sponsoring a child in a school in Krabi, Thailand, which was built following the terrible tsunami that struck South-East Asia in December 2004.

As to his educational background, Jonathan has a Bachelor’s degree in Educational Sciences from the University of Strasbourg (France) as well as Master’s degrees in Training and Communication and Educational Sciences from Kyoto University (Japan) and the Institut National Supérieur du Professorat et de l’Education in Strasbourg.

Over the past several years, Jonathan has worked in a number of French public schools and has also held the position of Principal Educational Advisor and Head Counselor at the European School of Strasbourg, a renowned trilingual school. Most recently, Jonathan has been working as a Project Manager for the European Union, as well as holding the position of Headmaster of the French Program at Berda Claude International School in Phuket (Thailand) from 2019 to 2022.

Jonathan believes that we carry a heavy responsibility in our efforts to train the artists of tomorrow. He hopes that our efforts will lead future creatives to offer more impactful contributions to their peers and communities. As such, Jonathan is quite passionate about seeking out new and innovative ways to improve upon the recognized excellence of the ÀNI Art Academies. Community and teamwork are of extreme importance to Jonathan. He often promotes the potential strength of a collective effort, but not at the cost of individual responsibility. He believes that by harnessing our collective skill sets, celebrating our diversity, and supporting one another, we will achieve extraordinary results and reach new heights as a team.
