Photoshop 101 for Traditional Artists Returns This Fall

Registration is now open for Photoshop 101 and Basic Digital Imaging for Traditional Artists, a twelve-week online course with Anthony Waichulis beginning October 1, 2026.

Designed specifically for traditional artists, the course introduces the fundamental concepts of digital imaging and the essential Photoshop skills artists need to effectively photograph, digitize, manage, and present their work.

Photoshop 101 and Basic Digital Imaging for Traditional Artists

When: Every Thursday, beginning October 1, 2026
Time: 2:00 p.m. EST
Format: Live via Zoom
Duration: 12 weeks

Throughout the course, Anthony will cover practical digital skills that traditional artists can use in their everyday professional practice, including photographing and digitizing artwork, developing and managing reference materials, creating promotional imagery, and preparing image files for digital publications, print, exhibitions, competitions, and other submission requirements.

Participants will complete weekly assignments, optional bonus challenges, and a final examination. Course materials, announcements, and scoring will be available through Smartermarx.com. Students must have access to their own copy of Adobe Photoshop and create a free Smartermarx account before the course begins.
