Online Alla Prima Challenges Return February 2026

ÀNI Art Academies is pleased to share the return of head instructor Anthony Waiculis’ Online Alla Prima Challenges, a 20-week live painting series designed to support focused, skill-based practice in alla prima painting.

Beginning February 2026, participants will gather weekly for structured, time-limited painting challenges led by Anthony Waichulis. Sessions will take place Thursdays from 2:00–3:00 PM (EST) and will be conducted live via Zoom.

The 2026 offering includes:

-20 live alla prima painting sessions over 20 weeks
-An additional orientation week for first-time participants
-Weekly challenges featuring 30–45 minutes of painting time, followed by 15–20 minutes of discussion focused on exercise goals, problem-solving strategies, and practical tips for improving outcomes
-Access to a private shared Dropbox gallery, where participants may upload photographs of their weekly work and view the efforts of others as part of a collective learning environment

Important Dates

Orientation Session: Thursday, February 12, 2026
First Painting Session: Thursday, February 19, 2026
Weekly Schedule: Thursdays, 2:00–3:00 PM (EST)

The orientation session will provide an overview of the challenge structure, primary goals, required materials, use of the Dropbox gallery, and a general Q&A to ensure participants are fully prepared before the first painting session.
