Welcome to the official website for ÀNI Art Academies, a non-profit organization that provides an intensive multi-year art skills education to aspiring artists around the world. Utilizing the highly successful training system developed by artist Anthony J. Waichulis, the ÀNI Art Academies’ Program is designed to promote creative freedom through deliberate practice and discipline.
A collaborative project conceived and founded by Tim Reynolds, ÀNI Art Academies empowers students to create, express, and communicate in new and exciting ways. In the beginning, their limits are constrained by lack of skills – in the end, they are only bound by their limitless imagination.
ÀNI Art Academies Locations
Works created by the artists of the ÀNI Art Academies continue to be celebrated by critics and collectors alike. Using a vocabulary of line, value, and color, our creatives aim to deliver compelling stories, interesting subjects, and immersive environments. And while the works do vary in many ways—each endeavor is identical in that it is a product of countless hours of dedication and training that is often met with wonder, delight, and curiosity.
From the subtle gradients of light that may communicate the form of a delicate face to the many furrows and ridges that might reveal the coarse texture of a rough stone, each subject is handled with a care that cannot hide the artist’s passion for, or dedication to, their craft.
In keeping with the core principles of the ÀNI Art Academies’ educational philosophy, each Academy celebrates the influence of regional culture on both atmosphere and architecture. Our overall mission is not to promote any singular aesthetic to aspiring creatives, but to expand the visually expressive and communicative tools by which they may deliberately pursue their own.
