Dilshan Alwis

ÀNI Art Academies Sri Lanka

Born in 2002, Dilshan is a native of Sri Lanka whose artistic journey began at an early age. He demonstrated exceptional talent in competitions held in recognition of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities in Sri Lanka in 2014 and 2016. He also showcased his creative abilities in the 2014 World Day to Combat Desertification competition.

After completing his higher education, Dilshan developed a strong interest in photography, graphic design, and other creative fields, continuing to expand his artistic knowledge and skills. While working at M.D. Gunasena Pvt. Ltd., he discovered ÀNI Art Academies and recognized it as an opportunity to pursue his artistic development on a deeper level. Soon afterward, he joined the Academy as an apprentice, where he continues to strengthen his technical abilities, broaden his artistic understanding, and develop his creative voice.

Dilshan’s work is inspired by the relationship between the natural environment, particularly plant life, and psychological and emotional themes. Through these elements, he seeks to create artwork that encourages reflection and forms a deeper emotional connection with the viewer.

Dilshan invites viewers to explore more of his work through the Green Art page and on Instagram at @alwis_dilshan.
