ÀNI Art Academies Dominicana
Sandra Abigail Córdoba Mendoza (b. 2003), known as Abigail Córdoba, was born in San José, Costa Rica. She moved to the Dominican Republic with her parents and younger brother when she was about to turn six. Since then, she has lived in the countryside of Río San Juan.
When she was little, she watched her mother draw as a hobby, thus beginning her interest in the artistic world. Despite not receiving official art classes, during her school years, her teachers recognized her as a creative student when carrying out work and projects, eventually winning an art fair in high school.
After graduating high school in 2021, Abigail wanted to find her voice and a way to express what she had trouble saying with words, so she decided to follow her interest in art.
She is an apprentice at ÀNI Art Academies Dominicana, where she found an opportunity to learn new techniques and skills to start her career as an artist.
