Karla Rebolledo Moset

ÁNI Art Academies Dominicana

Karla Rebolledo Moset (b. 1995) was born in México City into a creative family of artists. Her childhood home was filled with art materials like oil paint, carpentry tools, clay, and fabrics, among others. Around age 7, she found a stick of charcoal in her mother’s studio and discovered a love for drawing. She enrolled in local youth art programs and exhibitions while continuing to experiment with pastels, charcoal, and watercolors. Karla developed an interest in portraiture during her first formal drawing class in middle school, and that interest would continue to grow through her high school years.

Karla attended Universidad del Valle de México from 2014-2018, majoring in Nutrition. While in university, her passion for art remained. As such, she would find the time to continue to practice portraiture and fill creative roles within the positions she held following graduation. Between 2020 and 2021, she completed seven murals and designed promotional materials for the company. After relocating to the Dominican Republic in 2022, she decided to follow her heart and focus on her artwork full-time.

Currently, Karla is an apprentice of the ÀNI Art Academy Dominicana, where she now continues to pursue her artistic passions and develop her technical skills. Her most recent artwork has received international awards and recognition.
