Jim was born in a small town in Iowa and always had the goal of becoming an artist. However, life got in his way. After a tour in Vietnam, he became a scientist specializing in fiber optics, but he never stopped drawing. His passion is capturing life and he finds inspiration from people and animals, especially his cats.
