Ani Art Academies Apprentice Shanicia Richardson Talks CR 2013

In a recent interview, at Ani Art Academy Anguilla, artist Shanicia Richardson discusses her journey to become an apprentice at the Academy and her artistic ambitions for the future.

She explains how The Ani Art Academies offered both her and other local artists opportunities they couldn’t imagine were possible.

Her most recent work, “Bits and Bobs” will be on display in the ‘Capturing Realism 2013’ Exhibit in Dallas Pennsylvania. The show runs
September 7th to October 31st, 2013 at Misericordia University and will be Shanicia’s first international show.

In the future, Shanicia plans to create more works featuring the Anguillan landscape. In closing she remarks, “Know what you want. Go ahead
—have high goals. Reach for the stars”.
