Brandon D. Drake (b. 1989) can't think of a time in his childhood when he wasn't drawing on a scrap of paper; art has always been a part of his life.  His father, a retired illustrator/graphic designer for AT&T and Bell Laboratories, heavily influenced his decision to pursue art as a career.  Brandon, a graduate of the duCret School of Art class of 2012, wanted to further his technical capacity and gain as much knowledge on the subjects of draftsmanship, drawing, and painting.  While at duCret he also began studying with Timothy W. Jahn, in 2009, where he began the drawing program developed by Anthony Waichulis.

In the beginning of 2012 Brandon started studying directly under Anthony Waichulis at the Ani Art Academy Waichulis, where he is now immersed in the program which so many artists have emerged from and built successful careers.  "I hope to push my technical capabilities in order to create the most believable images I can." says Drake.  Finally feeling as though he is coming into his own with a unique voice and conceptual take on the ideas and image that intrigue him.  Having a fond interest with Biblical undertones, he is diligently working to achieve a believable representation of something that Brandon believes is rarely, if ever, truly seen.

Romaro H. Richardson (b. 1993) had a humble upbringing as a child. Due to medical conditions however, he was exempt from most physical recreational activities the average child would have partook in. Positively, this led to him having a vivid imagination that reflected in the homemade toys he produced.

In his adolescent years, Romaro’s prior career pursuit was that of the construction field; the profession common to the men in his family. Hence his secondary and tertiary level academics were surrounded with relative courses. Outside of Technical Drawing at O-level education and Geometrical and Mechanical Engineering drawing at A-level education, Romaro has not held a pencil to produce any artistic works. He is however an enthusiast of digital media with an emphasis on Photography and Videography, and has worked alongside webmasters residing in Anguilla; Recently Nori Evoy of Anguilla-beaches.com.

In the first quarter of 2012, a few months prior to completing A-level studies, Romaro began studying under the headship of Artist Timothy Jahn the current instructor of Ani Art Academies Anguilla. He is fully committed into the program. As it will lay a well needed stepping stone in his pursuit for becoming competent in Media and Communication. He wishes to adapt the Waichulis Language of Drawing methodology to producing graphic design works with the aid of graphics tablets.

Being inspired by the many Christian art works of the renaissance era, Romaro has plans to create works with references to the life and teachings of The Christ and the Early Church, as well as works that reflect Caribbean Culture and Heritage.

Make sure to check out Romaro's art work on his gallery page!

(b. 1957) As an art therapist, Terese Rogers has encouraged others to use art as a means of self-discovery.  In therapy, the art process was used towards this goal more so than the final product.  While continuing to enjoy and benefit from the artistic process she has the opportunity, through her apprenticeship at the Ani Waichulis Studio, to focus on the skills needed to achieve her desired form of expression.

Terese's work is exhibited at The San Marino Gallery in Pasadena, CA and MainStreet Gallery in Kingston, PA, and most recently in Paris, France.  Rogers work has been featured in several publications including The Artists Magazine and American Arts Quarterly.

(b.1989) Kevin grew up in Bridgewater, New Jersey where he became interested in art at a young age. In high school he further developed his drawing abilities and decided he wanted to become a fine artist. After high school in 2007, he began his art education at DuCret School of Art where he took some of Timothy Jahn’s classes.  In 2008, Kevin began an apprenticeship at Jahn Studios where Timothy started teaching him the Waichulis curriculum. During his time at Jahn Studios, Kevin completed many charcoal drawings and exercises and also participated in several group shows with his instructor and classmates.

In 2012, Timothy became the instructor of Ani Art Academies Anguilla which is located on the Caribbean island of Anguilla. Kevin then moved to Bear Creek, Pennsylvania where he is currently continuing his artistic training at Ani Art Academies Waichulis.  Check out more of Kevin's art work on his gallery page.

(b. April 30, 1989) Esteban’s earliest memory as a child is being interested in how things took form. He doesn’t know exactly how old he was when he started drawing, he just remembers that he would start out doing his homework and when he was finish, it would be covered in drawings. Esteban was later given the opportunity to attend La Aldea Artenasal, an art school in Rio San Juan. It was here that he took his first painting course when he was eighteen years old. Soon after that he studied for one year at Altos De Chavón, an art and design school. Esteban then came to Rio San Juan where he heard about Ani Art Academies Dominica where he is now happily engaged in his artist pursuits.

(b.1989) Emily graduated in Fine Art from the University of the Creative Arts, England in 2010. As part of her degree course study she spent a semester at the Maryland Institute of the Creative Arts (MICA) in Baltimore, where she developed an intense passion for relating stories and emotions through artwork. This was evidenced by her final series of degree work that was based on emotion and exploring the outward representation of self.

After finishing her degree she moved to Anguilla, where she enrolled at the Ani Art Academy Anguilla. At the Academy she has begun to create work that has surpassed her belief in her own abilities and has given her the ambition and drive to make a life in the creation of high quality art.  Emily has a passion for portraiture which, thanks to the Academy, she will be developing further in the future.
